Material

The fur-imitations consist of high-quality acrylic or modacrylic fibers or mixtures and exhibit good light and color fastness. Modacryl is also fire retardant. The fur-imitations are knitted. Excessive pulling can lead to hair loss. The newly developed fiber SK2 is being launched with the 2011/2012 collection. SK2 is a high-tech fiber produced by the company Kaneka, Osaka/Japan under the brand name Kanecaron®. Its softness, stability light and color fastness as well as its wash resistance are outstanding. The following articles are produced with SK2 fibers: Desertfox, Polarbear, Marmot, Timberwolf, Puma, Seal-ivory, Seal-pearl, Seal-cappuccino, Seal-espresso, Seal-black.

All blankets are filled with easy care microweb® velvet made of 100% Polyester.

The Maglia knitted blankets are made from high quality hand spun acrylic fibers. The yarn length is therefore limited and extensions must be tied by hand. The plaids are woven laboriously on handlooms and the ties are hidden on the back.

The cushion fillings consist of 70% PES fibers and 30 % PU rhombi. A dynamic siliconized tubular fibre with 3D-crimp (rebound elasticity) is used. With normal usage, these high quality cushion fillings will last at least 3 years. Wash in cold/gentle cycle or dry clean.

The stools made of micropore® nappa, micropore® royal or of fur4fun-imitation are filled with 80% styrofoam beads (PS) and 20% PU rhombi.

Production

On behalf of Winter Creation the specially-developed fur-imitations are produced by a traditional South Korean family business in China. The fur blankets and cushion covers are then sewn in a state-of-the-art sewing room in Kunshan/China. The working conditions are fair and surpass the legal standard. The local management is Korean and very well trained. There is no child labor. The production is inspected by Winter Creation staff on a regular basis. (Pictures of the production)

From the collection Fur4Fun® the following articles are available: Leopard, Sibirianwolf, Polarbear, Marmot, Timberwolf, Puma, Canadian Lynx, Seal-ivory, Seal-pearl, Seal-cappuccino, Seal-espresso, Seal-black, Chinchilla, Desertfox. From the collection microweb® the following article is available: Velvet (without composition support) as lining material. Width: At least 150 cm.

Care and Cleaning

Fur blankets, cushion covers and fur stools (without content): Washable in cold/gentle cycle, without a spin cycle. Hand wash with mild detergent possible. Line dry unfolded, do not tumble. Maglia knitted blankets: Wash separately in cold/gentle cycle. Vacuum carpets only, do not wash. Wipe micropore® stools with damp cloth only. Do not use solvents or cleaners containing fat or alcohol.

Antistatic

The products come with antistatic finishing. If the environment is very dry, synthetic materials can accumulate electrostatic charge. Increase air moisture in your environment in that case, or use an anti-static spray against electrostatic charge as a short term solution.

Quality check

All Winter Creation products are checked individually for quality and produced under laboratory surveillance with certification. The materials used correspond to the European Standard 67/548/EEC and regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006. The tested products were rated environmentally friendly and safe for humans and animals.
